I was a software engineer working at a manufacturer when I applied for a position in anticipation of its technological advances. I was impressed with the speed of i3's recruiting process. I was surprised that the entire process, from the first interview to the final meeting with the president, was completed in such a short time. The company is flexible about remote work, which maximizes the freedom of the work environment. I was shocked at first when my boss said we were free to work anyplace that makes it easier for us to be comfortable and work efficiently. It makes for good team work to know that the entire company is united to support solutions to troubles we encounter. It is also great that we are encouraged to attend conferences abroad. In fact, one of my subordinates is now in Las Vegas.

As a product planner, I think about what we might create and why it would be good to create it. In our company, we encourage and support proposals from anyone who wants to submit one. I returned to my hometown and joined a company there after working as an engineer for an electronics manufacturer. The work style is quite different from what I had imagined an IT company would be like. For example, I can take time off or switch to remote work without constraints for personal reasons. This means I never have to miss my children's open houses or other events at school. Since the president comes from an engineering background, it's easier to move projects forward through technical discussions. This is an environment that appeals to active individuals.

Engineering
We adopt Ruby/Ruby on Rails for server-side development and Xamarin for mobile app development. We actively introduce the latest technologies to improve services. We use Microsoft Azure as infrastructure to support services and received the highest award in the OpenSource on Azure category of the Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards 2016. We also introduced the latest technology to the service platform. Currently, the CLOMO production environment is configured on Kubernetes and developed on containers.

Support for improvement
We actively attend technical conferences domestically and internationally. The overseas conferences we attend include Microsoft Build, AWS re:Invent, WWDC by Apple, and Google I/O. The domestic conferences we attend include RubyKaigi, iOSDC, DroidKaigi and PM Conf. We purchase technological books related to our business on an expense account. We also hold periodic hackathon events for internal engineers to offer opportunities for development which cannot be realized through traditional service development.

Career paths
We offer two types of career paths; the management path and the specialist path. You can select either path after you reach the required job grade.The main evaluation targets for the management path are management skill and performance. The specialist path targets professional skill and performance specific to job type. These include technical capabilities, sales capabilities as well as knowledge and experience in accounting.
