i³ Systems, Inc. (head office: Fukuoka-city, Fukuoka, CEO: Tsutomu Sasaki,) would like to announce that CLOMO MDM now supports managed distribution, a new licensing system, for the Volume Purchase Program (VPP) for corporate or educational entities, which was released at the same time when iOS 7 was released by Apple, and the service will be launched as of Wednesday, May 28, 2014.
CLOMO MDM was launched as the first mobile device management (MDM) service for iOS in Japan (*2) and achieved the No. 1 share of the domestic MDM market for three consecutive years as a multi-device, carrier-free MDM service.
We are grateful to announce that CLOMO MDM now supports managed distribution, a new licensing system, for VPP and is able to provide the following functions by supporting the new system (*4).
As a front-runner in the market for smart devices by corporate entities, i³ Systems would like to provide the latest and best technologies to existing users as fast as possible.
VPP provided by Apple is a program to allow for the bulk purchase of paid applications available in the App Store. A new app license purchase and distribution system called managed distribution was newly added to VPP, which allows users to choose between two different distribution methods for each VPP transaction: redeemable codes or managed distribution. The former allows users to transfer ownership of paid apps licenses at the point of purchase and the latter allows users to revoke and reassign application licenses for end-users.
CLOMO MDM provides remote management services, including operational efficiency by enabling remote IT policy settings to operate and utilize smart devices within a company securely and efficiently, measures against stolen or lost devices using remote device lock or data wipe functions, and use monitoring by sending an alert to the administrator when a jailbreak or malware is detected.
CLOMO MDM has had the mobile app management (MAM) function and provides a managed app function to enable full iOS app management for iOS devices like iPhones and iPads and redeemable codes for VPP. Visit the URL for the detailed features.
CLOMO MDM has been implemented by wide range of businesses and organizations including users with larger-scale operation like Obayashi Corporation; Saga Prefectural Office; NIHON CHOUZAI Co., Ltd.; and Noevir Holdings Co., Ltd.
